മഠത്തിനുമുമ്പില് ഞങ്ങളെക്കണ്ടതും ഭട്ടര് കുളക്കരയിലെ വഴിയിലേക്കിറങ്ങി വന്നു. നിറഞ്ഞ ചിരിയോട ചോദിച്ചു: ക്ഷേത്രത്തില് പൂജ നടത്തണോ? “ഇപ്പൊ വേണ്ട.” രാമു പറഞ്ഞു: അവിടെ താമസം ശരിയില്ല. ഇവിടെ സൗകര്യമാവുമോ? എത്രദിവസം? ഭട്ടര് തിരക്കി. തീരുമാനിച്ചിട്ടില്ല രാമു പറഞ്ഞു. ഹ…ഹ… ഹ… അതിനെന്തിനാ വിരോധം? വാ… വാ..ഭട്ടര് ഞങ്ങളെ മഠത്തിലേക്കാനയിച്ചു. കാപ്പി? പ്രാതല്? ഏതാവത്? വേണ്ടാ വേണ്ടാ, ഞങ്ങള് പറഞ്ഞു: ഉച്ച ഭക്ഷണം മുതല് മതി. ഉണ്ടാക്കാം. ഭട്ടര് തിരക്കി: ചപ്പാത്തി, പച്ചരിച്ചോറ്? “ചോര്മതി”. ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു.ഞങ്ങള് മുകളീലേക്കൊക്കെ ഒന്നു പോയി വരാം.
